In the update video above, Takahashi revealed that development of Metroid Prime 4 was being done in conjunction with Retro Studios. Takahashi specifically stated that it would be a "long road" until the next time a development update could be given for Metroid Prime 4, so don't expect to hear about it again for at least the next few years. With this massive shift in development, it's unclear when Metroid Prime 4 could eventually be coming out.
